Curt,
Best advice is to start off about 7 and go from there. My rig is 14,400 and I leave the controller at 8.5 and as mentioned earlier, use the tow/haul.

Completely normal, just hope that it's really Eternabond brand and not a cheap substitute that some manufacturers use. Sure beats re caulking every couple of years.

We keep ours in the washer/dryer closet. It sits on a folding aluminum camping table right next to the water faucet for the washer which makes refilling the reservoir a breeze.

Zig your consensus is right on the money. Too many knee jerk reactions and chicken littles along with the gloom and doomers make the economy look much worse than it really is.
If you have a good truck keep it, if you don't and want one, now is the time to grab a real bargain.

RE: Overnight stay - disconnect?
I never disconnect for overnight stops just level side to side drop the landing gear and rear stabs just to steady the rig, not to try to level. The TV automatically disconnects power when the key is off so no need to unplug the cord.

Go to the local truck stop and buy a quality tire gage for trucks. Kills two birds with one stone.

If you are thinking about a Sundance check out this site.
As far as towing with the F250, it'll straight line tow about anything you hook to it. The decision of what you tow with it is ultimately yours.

My Bighorn came with an air mattress in the sleeper sofa and it's great. DW and I sometimes use it while we watch late night movies as well as when the grandkids come for a visit. It's more comfortable than the Select Comfort at home.

Every time I get a bigger truck the DW buys a bigger camper. Vicious, expensive circle!:)
Seriously, you'll love towing with a dually compared to a SRW. On the down side, you'll never be able to go through an automatic car wash again if you do get one.

I wouldn't think of pulling without an air hitch after owning one. A little costly but one of the best purchases I have made. It eliminates wear and tear on the tv, the fiver and most of all the occupants of the tv.

Our sleeper sofa came with an air mattress and it is very comfortable. I don't know the brand name but it has the built in inflater and the back of the couch lifts up and folds forward to expose the mattress.
